Partner Fine Art, transport and logistics of works of art

Horace Vernet

Versailles Palace entrusted Partner Fine Art with their 2023 autumn exhibition dedicated to the painter Horace Vernet. The show presents over 200 artworks from diverse collections from around the world, including some prestigious lenders such as the Washington National Gallery or the Metropolitan Museum of New York.

This was an opportunity for Partner to demonstrate its know-how in all the main aspects of our industry: 50 couriers, 8 arrivals in Roissy CDG or other European airports with supervision of airport operations and time sensitive customs clearance, several trucks from different European countries, several handling challenges with big paintings going in or out through windows with help of cranes of other technical support (most exciting challenge being the bronze 1.5 ton, 3 meters high sculpture of Horace Vernet on his horse to pass through one of the castle’s windows), and over 3 weeks of unpacking and installation for a team of 6 arthandlers.
